At Cedar Lane we're celebrating our 75th anniversary

The theme of this year’s Spring Auction is 75 Years and Beyond. The Auction is a fun tradition for all ages and all families and a significant fundraiser for Cedar Lane.

Frequently Asked Questions

I see different dates – when does the auction happen?

The Spring Auction is a hybrid event that includes online bidding AND an Auction Celebration.

Online bidding for the majority of auction items runs Sunday, April 26 through Monday, May 11. There is no registration fee to participate in the online bidding. Every winning bid benefits Cedar Lane.

The Auction Celebration Dinner happens Saturday May 9 from 4:30 - 7:30 PM.  Music, dinner, drinks, piano bar singing with Travis Ploeger, and silent bidding on the always popular member-hosted dinners.  All for a great cause – our Cedar Lane!

How does the Auction work?

Members donate items/services/experiences for the online auction catalog, and our members and friends bid on them. Special dinners in members’ homes, sports and theater tickets, games and toys, home baked goods, jewelry, vacation and travel opportunities, restaurant meals, and much more. Peruse the online catalog regularly between April 26 and May 11, and bid on your favorites. All proceeds support the good works of Cedar Lane. In-person silent bidding on fabulous member-hosted dinners happens at the Auction Celebration on May 9.

How can I participate?

Donate something! Read these donation tips before making your donation. Check out these ideas!  Or, ask your favorite local businesses – restaurants, boutiques, bakeries, your hairdresser, auto mechanic, etc. – to donate items, gift cards or services. Print this business donation kit and keep it with you.

Volunteer!  Volunteering with the auction is a great way to connect with new Cedar Laners and old friends. A variety of jobs to match your abilities and availability – short-term and longer commitment. Check out volunteer opportunities here.

Children and youth through 12th grade are free!  Special programming and childcare for children. Order your tickets online or stop by the Auction table after worship on Sundays starting April 12.

Provide Financial Support.  If you have room in your budget, please consider a monetary donation to the Spring Auction Celebration. You’ll help defray costs that are not covered by ticket sales. Whatever we raise goes to Cedar Lane’s general fund. Any amount helps.

What does it cost to participate in the Spring Auction Celebration?

Online Bidding is FREE.  Just create a user account, and provide a credit card to cover your winnings.

Ticket Prices for the May 9 celebration – pay what you can:

$45 – Covers Cedar Lane’s cost per person to host the event.

$25 – For those who must budget carefully in order to attend.

If the cost of a ticket is truly a barrier for you, please reach out to one of our ministers.

Children and Youth are FREE!

Order a FREE ticket for each child through 12th grade that will attend.  This helps us plan activities, food, and childcare for the youngest. All children and youth activities will take place on the lower level this year.

Youth Grade 6 and up are welcome to enjoy the celebration on the main floor or spend time with their friends downstairs, as they choose.
